Lake Liepaja is managed by an association “Liepajas ezeri” (Lakes of Liepaja), which was established in the year 2004. The association was founded to purposefully manage lakes of Liepaja.
Tasks of association “Liepajas ezeri”
- Supervision of environment and nature protection,
- Protection of natural species and biotopes in accordance with the nature protection plan and applicable legislation,
- Organization of licence fishing and hunting according to the requirements of applicable legislation,
- Restoration of fish resources,
- Informing and educating the public.
