It is necessary to declare residence in case of moving to Liepaja from another city or moving within the city of Liepaja. Also, every resident of Liepaja must declare not only his/her place of residence, but also place of residence of his/her children under 18 years of age, and any persons for whom the resident acts as a legal guardian or a custodian.
Residence can be declared:
- By using e-service on www.latvija.lv free of charge,
- In person by visiting Liepaja municipal police department. This is a paid service – the fee is 4.27 EUR,
- Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs – only for foreigners, stateless persons, EU memberstate, EEZ country or Swiss Confederation citizens and their family members.
