2. Folklore group "Saknes"
The folklore group "Saknes" of the Liepāja Folk Art and Culture Centre was established in 1977 in the Liepāja Teachers' House.
The ensemble zealously participates in various events in Liepāja and other Latvian cities. The particularly awated event is Kurzeme Senior Ensemble Singing, which takes place in a different Latvian city every year. Several members are proud of their hand made Latvian folk costumes.
