The plan of LSEZ “Jensen Metal” SIA to transfer all its production facilities from rented premises in the Liepaja Business Centre to their own-built in the Karosta Industrial Park has been fulfilled - on January 4, this year, the Liepaja City Construction Board commissioned the new production building, thus, all departments of the company (Metal, Fittings and Stainless Steel) now operate in the new premises.
It was in 2019, that SIA LSEZ “Jensen Metal” became a pioneer – the first company to settle down into the greenfield area of the Karosta Industrial Park - by moving the metal and fittings departments of the company from the rented premises in the Liepaja Business Centre to their newly-built premises in the Karosta Industrial Park.
The new plant allows the company to significantly increase its turnover, as well as, to increase the number of employees – new job vacancies are no open for welders and CNC machine tool operators. Ieva Līmeža, the procurator of the company “Jensen Metal”, reveals: “We started as a small subsidiary of J.J.Staal company, which employed only 30 people in Liepaja, however, as the range of our offers grew over the years, the demand increased, as well. At present, Jensen Metal is a fully independent company in Latvia, which has outgrown the former Danish J.J.Staal parent company both - in terms of volume, technology and management systems. Currently, 330 employees are employed in Liepaja.
