4. Mixed choir "Kursa"
The Liepāja Folk Art and Culture Centre’s mixed choir "Kursa" was founded in 1953 and is one of the oldest choirs in Liepāja. Today, the choir joins singers of different generations.
The choir is a participant of the Latvian Song Festival and has also taken part in the gala concert of the Choir Olympics in Riga. The choir is happy to cooperate with other Latvian choirs, as well as with its twin partner choir from Austria. The choir has a very active social life – its members celebrate each other’s birthdays, have an annual choir ball, Christmas events and other traditions established with the time.
